Manic Corporate Dream Girl is an independent nonfiction book project exploring the space between workplace wellness and the reality of being unwell at work.
About the Project
Manic Corporate Dream Girl is a nonfiction book project about chronic mental illness in the American workplace.
It explores the evolution of mental health awareness in the workplace through the stories of mentally ill workers navigating disclosure, masking, leave, accommodations, hospitalization, stigma, and the pressure to keep performing “fine.”
Part memoir, part research, part cultural criticism, the project is about the gap between workplace wellness language and the actual support needed to survive and stay employed.
I am currently interested in speaking with:
Workers living with chronic mental health conditions
Former workers who have left the workforce due to mental illness
Clinicians and mental health providers
People leaders, HR professionals, and executives
Advocates, researchers, and legal professionals
Loved ones supporting mentally ill workers

I’m currently gathering interview interest for Manic Corporate Dream Girl, a nonfiction book project about chronic mental illness in the American workplace.
I’m hoping to hear from people with lived experience, professional experience, or both: workers, former workers, managers, HR professionals, clinicians, advocates, and others who understand the reality of working while unwell.
Submitting this form does not guarantee an interview. It simply lets me know you may be open to talking. If your experience fits the current phase of research, I’ll reach out with more information about next steps, privacy, consent, and scheduling.
